Renterprise for employers & workplace wellbeing

Housing stress is the new financial wellbeing.

Most of your team are renters. Most of them are dealing with at least one lease worry right now — bond return, rent increase, repair fight, eviction threat, lease renewal. Renterprise is one of the lowest-cost, highest-leverage wellbeing benefits you can offer.

The problem your EAP doesn't solve.

Housing stress is documented as a top driver of mental-health absence, financial-counselling demand, and attrition. Australian renters spend an average of 30%+ of income on rent. Half of NSW rental households have at least one significant tenancy issue per year (bond dispute, eviction notice, rent increase challenge, repair fight).

Standard EAPs offer counselling and general financial advice. They don't give a worker the specific letter to send their landlord, the section of the Act that voids a clause, or the structured NCAT pack they need to recover their bond. That gap is the gap Renterprise fills.

For employees, it means lower stress about a real ongoing concern. For employers, it's a benefit that touches a large portion of staff at a low per-head cost, with a clear use case that's easier to communicate than “phone counsellor on demand.”

What your staff get.

Lease check at the moment of decision

Every staff member can run an instant lease check before signing or renewing. Catches the six-week bonds, mandatory carpet cleans, illegal water charges, and unenforceable access clauses.

Bond return support at move-out

Honest Assessment + dispute letter + NCAT escalation memo. Most staff are losing $500-$1,500 to dishonest bond deductions per move. This reclaims that money.

Rent increase challenge

Three-test check + market-comparables analysis + objection letter. Particularly valuable in the current market where many staff are absorbing 10-20% increases without challenge.

Repairs requests with legal weight

Urgent vs non-urgent classification + the $1,000 self-arrangement right under s.64 + NCAT rent-reduction path. Reduces the housing-stress days where someone has no hot water in winter.

Eviction defence within hours, not weeks

Notice validity check + response letter + NCAT pack. A staff member served notice on a Friday can have a defensible response sent by Monday morning, not waiting two weeks for community legal.

DV crisis tenancy always free

Trauma-informed pathway for any staff member experiencing DV who needs to leave a tenancy immediately without break fees. Aligned with workplace DV-leave policy frameworks.

How partnership works

Simple setup. No staff onboarding required.

Phase 01 — pilot

30-day free trial

All NSW-based staff get unlimited access for 30 days. We deliver a single internal communication (HR-approved) + an FAQ for your HR team. No SSO needed for pilot.

Phase 02 — review

Uptake report

After 30 days: uptake percentage, top tools used, anonymised use-case breakdown, qualitative feedback from an optional staff survey, recommendations.

Phase 03 — ongoing

Per-head annual licence

$5-$15 per employee per year, volume-based. Optional SSO integration (Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra). Optional internal benefits-portal embed.

What we'll provide

  • · One pre-written internal email your HR/comms team can adapt and send
  • · Slack / Teams launch announcement template
  • · A short FAQ document for your HR team so they can answer staff questions
  • · Optional 15-minute lunch-and-learn from Mya for staff curious about the platform
  • · Anonymised quarterly uptake reports for benefits / wellbeing reporting

What we won't do

  • · No tracking of individual employee usage. Aggregated only. Your staff can use the platform without their employer knowing what they ran.
  • · No data leaves the platform. No employer access to tenant records.
  • · No replacement of your EAP, financial counselling, or legal benefit. We sit alongside, addressing the specific tenancy gap.
  • · No lock-in. 30-day notice termination on any partnership.

Indicative pricing (post-pilot)

$5-$15 per employee per year.

Volume-based. Smaller workplaces (under 50 staff) start at $399/year flat. Workplaces with 200-1,000 staff land around $10/head. Larger organisations (10,000+) end closer to $5/head.

For context: this is meaningfully cheaper than a single EAP counselling session per employee per year. Most workplaces we've modelled this for see the cost as a low-budget-impact benefit with a high-reach use case (touching 60%+ of staff who rent).
